Dan Langa is a composer, producer, and arranger fusing elements of the music most important to him to create image-provoking sounds. He holds a particular fascination with electroacoustic music and how to incorporate elements of the natural world into his work.
Dan earned his BA in Music from Amherst College graduating magna cum laude with highest departmental honors and was awarded the Eric Edward Sundquist Prize for excellence in musical composition and performance. He is an alum of Fresh Inc Festival hosted by the Chicago-based Fifth House Ensemble, the 2020 Sō Percussion Summer Institute, and in 2020 was awarded a residency at Fire Island National Seashore by the US National Parks Service.
Dan is currently based in New York City where he is pursuing his Masters in Music Theory and Composition at New York University. He studies with Julia Wolfe and Robert Honstein.
